Hello wonderful readers! Today is day twenty-three of the 31 day challenge to bring you a bible verse on marriage each day.
Day 23 -
"The fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; do not sow and do not reap what grows of itself or harvest and untended vines."
--Leviticus 25:11
Today's verse is on the Jubilee year God gave the Israelites, where debts were forgiving, servants were released, and no one had to work and trust God to provide, it was a year to just build their community and families. In marriage we don't have to wait for 50 years to have a Jubilee year in our marriage, we can have it right now. To have this we need to start over and clear the scorecard. Your spouse doesn't owe you so many hours of doing the dishes because you did them for that long, clear the scorecard permanently. Also a good thing to do is forget all arguments and don't bring up past hurts, this is really easy said but hard to do but pray for it to happen. Also take some time for each other, make sure you do this! It's important that you make time to spend time together. Loves.
