Valentine's Day in the Thorsen House 2014

Hello my amazing readers. I thought I would share with you all how we celebrated our first married Valentine's Day. We both worked a full shift at our works then came home and had a relaxing dinner and watched a movie and cuddled on the couch. It was so relaxing and romantic and couldn't have asked for a more wonderful first married Valentine's Day with my husband.
I made a homemade card for Aaron and he got me a small box of chocolate and red roses. We got to use our wedding china for the first time and drank the last bottle of wine from our wedding as well.
He is so cute!! Love him!! Below is our wonderful steak dinner we made together with my beautiful red roses in the background that Aaron got me. We had a wonderful steak that my husband marinated overnight with garlic green beans and a baked potato.

Later we had champagne with some homemade hand-dipped (by me :-)) strawberries.
Can't forget Charlie, he got a little steak and olive oil on his food as a treat for Valentine's Day because we love him so much. Hope your Valentine's Day was wonderful. Loves.

Verse of the Week

Hello my faithful readers. I hope you are enjoying the verse of the week series I started this year. This weeks verse is Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline." I believe if you don't fear the Lord you will have a problem down the road. The Lord is not scary, he is actually very comforting but if you do go against him then there will be consequences. I fear the Lord but in a good way. I know he will always be there and provide for me and my family if I just believe in him and follow him. Loves.

DIY - Vinyl Letters

Hello my wonderful readers. I thought I would share my experience of putting some vinyl letters on a mirror with you. These vinyl letters are from lacybella.com, we got them for a wedding present. I absolutely love them, they were one of my favorite wedding gifts. We decided to put this decal on a mirror instead of the wall so whenever we move we can always take it with us. The mirror is special as well because it was in Aaron's grandfather's barber shop a long time ago.
It was so very easy to put it on. You just peeled off the backing, place it where you want and then rub where ever there is letters with a drivers license or card.
Then you just peel off the from part and get this beautiful creation.
I love how beautiful it turned out. :-) Hope you enjoy me sharing my experience doing this with you. Loves.

Verse of the Week

Hello my wonderful readers. I hope all of you are having a blessed Sunday. Today's verse is another one about change. Changes are happening in our lives that we are so thankful to God for and the Bible verses on change are how I know that all of these changes are a good thing. The verse today on change is Ephesians 2:10, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Everything we do God knows about already because he has already planned it out for us. I am not worried about the changes happening in our lives because I already know God has our lives in his hands and it all work out for his glory. Hope this verse helps you as much as it has helped me with changes in life. Loves.

Review It - Pasta Sauce

Hello my wonderful readers! I thought I would try something new for the Review It series, instead of makeup and all that. I am going to start reviewing everything and anything for you. Below as you can see the empty jar, we loved this pasta sauce. I originally only got it at the store because it was on sale. I usually have to add spices and garlic to store bought sauces when I make them to give them flavor but I honestly had to add nothing to this. It was so good and had small chunks of onion in for a little more than just a runny sauce. I would highly recommend this delicious Robusto! Ragu pasta sauce, I can't wait to try the other flavors in this Robusto! line of sauces.
I hope you will go try this sauce because it is delicious. We loved it. Loves.

Verse of the Week

Hello my wonderful readers. So today's verse of the week is on love. It is one of my favorite verses: 1 Corinthians 13:13, "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." I feel like these three things are the most important things to have in life, otherwise you will not get very far. You have to have faith, whether it be in Jesus Christ the one and only savior, or in something or someone else, you just have to have faith in something. You of course need to have hope in life, hope in better things to always come. And like the verse says you need to have the most important thing, Love. You need to love everyone, whether you agree with their lifestyle or choices or attitudes or not, God calls you to love everyone. If everyone in the world just followed this verse, even if they don't believe in the Bible, it's still a good quote for anyone and everyone. I hope you love this quote and live by it as much as I try to. Loves.

The Wedding Photos are Here!!!

Hello my wonderful readers! I don't know if you all have been waiting in excitement like me for these wedding photos but they are HERE!!!! We actually received 400 photos so I am not going to show you all of them because that is just craziness! All of our photos were taken by Angela Spiller Photography out of Brentwood, California.
So we became Mr. and Mrs. Thorsen on September 7, 2013 at Pageo Lavender Farm in Turlock, CA as you all have read for the past year or so.
Here we are lookin good for the camera :-)

We were of course in our own separate areas since he couldn't see me before walking down the aisle.

We prayed together before the ceremony so of course Aaron had to be blindfolded so he didn't see me.
I just love this picture of Aaron checking his hair because it is truly him, he checks his hair more than anyone I know.
The picture on the left is me holding a picture of my mom on her wedding day. The picture on the right is of my bouquet and the charm especially since it has a picture of Aaron's grandparents that have past away and were very important to him.
Up top here my mom is buttoning my dress up, it had a lot of buttons. Below is my brother helping Aaron with his tie.

Me and my ladies in front of our dresses.
This is my dad with my dress in the background, his cufflinks say "I Loved Her First" which was the name of the song we danced to and "Father of the Bride"
These were how all my little details turned out the day of, the burlap bows on the chairs for the ceremony were wonderful, the centerpieces were simple and beautiful also, and the seating chart turned out after all the changes I did to it.

This is a wonderful picture because it shows everything I wore besides my dress and veil (which was made by hand by my grandma just like she made my mom's for her wedding day) on my wedding day. You have my garter that is Harley Davidson black and orange of course with a little motorcycle charm on it, you also see my engagement ring, my something New was my pearls (which Aaron gave to me as a wedding gift), my something Old was the handkerchief that was Aaron's great grandmother's I believe, my something Borrowed was my grandma's earrings and my something Blue was my mom's sapphire ring (which was fitting also because we got married in September), I also had a penny in my shoe (not pictured).
This is Hayden our ring bearer holding the bible that Aaron's grandparents gave to him when he was little that our rings are tied to with lace.
My daddy walking me down the aisle and then below he saying "Take her! Please!" lol

I love that our photographer got other people besides us during the ceremony also. To the left we have our maid of honor which is my cousin Ashlee and my bridesmaid Tricia both crying. To the right you have my brother's girlfriend, Cindy with our niece Sophia fast asleep in her lap.
And just like that "Aaron, you can kiss your bride"

 "OMGoodness we are Married!!!"
Top is a picture of the tables before the guests came and below is my name hanger my dress was on that says "Mrs. Thorsen"

Above is my husband and daddy and below is the photo table I showed you earlier in my wedding blogs.

To the left here is me and Ashlee (MOH) and to the right is me and my little (not so little) brother, Ian, he was also one of our groomsmen.
Our cake and cupcakes were delicious. Below is me and Sophia, she loved to touch my pearls.

This is my whole immediate family plus now Aaron. :-)
This is the best one of me and my parents.
Above is us and our moms. Below is Aaron's mom kissing him before the ceremony.

Above is our bridal party, Mallory, Ian, Marcia, Jose, Arielle, David, Tricia, Alex, Ashlee and Johnathon. Below is Aaron's groomsmen.

Above is me and my ladies. Below I shot the groomsmen down.

The only one of Aaron smiling with the bridesmaids haha.
So this has to be my favorite of our bridal party because it is truly them. Mallory (my bestie), Ian (my brother), Marcia (former coworker/friend), Jose (Aaron's college friend), Arielle (Aaron's cousin), David (Aaron's best friend), Tricia (my high school best friend), Alex (Aaron's best friend since 6yrs old), Ashlee (my cousin & Maid of Honor), and Johnathon (Aaron's cousin & Best Man).
The venue was beautiful at night.
My favorite of me dancing with my daddy trying not to cry.
To the left is Aaron dancing with his mom. To the right is part of Aaron's dance he did for me when it was time to take my garter off haha, almost the best moment of the night.
And last but certainly not least, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron and Kristina Thorsen. Hope you enjoyed these as much as I do. Loves.
