My Feelings on Having Twins

Hello my wonderful readers. It has taken me awhile to get up the courage to voice my feelings about having twins. We had our first ultrasound at 8 weeks and there was one baby and we were so excited to have another and started to get stuff together. At my 13 weeks appointment the doctor couldn't hear the heartbeat with the doppler, which scared me, so she had to get the ultrasound and there on the screen was two little people moving around.
I went from scared because they couldn't hear the heartbeat thinking something was wrong with our baby to being scared because what kind of mom can I be to twins AND a toddler.
Penelope will be 2 by the time the twins come so I am scared that she will feel like she is being pushed aside for the two new babies, I don't want her to ever feel like we don't love her or they are more important.
I'm afraid they will come too early and have to spend a lot of time in the NICU. I'm afraid of being discharged from the hospital and they have to stay for some reason.
I know it is going to be hard, having a child in general is not easy, but I'm afraid that this time is going to be twice as hard before we even get to come home with them.
I'm praying by the time we come home with them, everything will be ready to go and Penelope will be in her toddler bed already settled.
I feel like even now we are not prepared with just the stuff we need and it makes me nervous because I am so type A.
One thing that is fun is looking at the gender neutral clothes, which stores don't have a lot of I am realizing, but we figure onesies can be shared if gender neutral and they are the same size.
Another fun thing is Pinterest, so many cute things on there for twins.
We do not know just yet what we are having so everything is cute.
It pretty much comes down to we are really excited to have these TWO blessings come into our lives but I am scared as well about the future and what it holds for me and them and us as a family.
We will just have to see what happens! With love!

Bouncing Baby - 14 & 15 week Update

Hello my wonderful readers. The past two weeks have been busy ones but I have felt better so I'm glad about that. Week 14 has brought relief from the sickness for the most part. It was so bad at one point the doctor was wanting to put me on medication for being sick for so long and so bad but thankfully we didn't have to go that route! Overall my tummy is getting bigger already and I am full on in maternity clothes so good thing I got them out and washed up early. Week 15 has brought on some more energy so I am back to keeping the house fairly clean and making food again for the family so that is good. We have started getting stuff for the babies! I will do a post at the half way point about what we have so far for them. We have our ultrasound scheduled to find out the sex of the babies so we are looking forward to that and it will be the first time my hubby sees them in person on the screen :-). We just had an ultrasound this week and they are measuring on schedule and heart rates are good, so that is good news. They are most likely fraternal twins they said so we could have any combo: boy/girl, boy/boy or girl/girl. My mom is the only guess so far and she thinks its boy/boy and they will come on December 22nd I think she said. I don't know if the gender is right but I'm pretty sure they will come early to mid December is my guess. Well I hope you enjoyed the little update. Love to you all!

Traveling with Ju-Ju-Be

Hello my wonderful readers. So this past weekend was the first weekend we have not been traveling somewhere in a month. I wanted to share with you how we use our Ju-Ju-Be when we travel. We use so many of our bags when we travel for so many different things. The trips in the car we usually take are about 2 hours or so.
The first bag that I use when we travel by car is a be light for a diaper bag. I just have the essentials in it for a diaper change, snacks and water cup if we need to stop. My diaper change stuff is in a be quick. I don't take a huge diaper bag with me on the trip usually because if I really need a clothing change or something like that her regular bag is in the back of car and easy to get to. The be light I use is a stargyle and the be quick is a magic merlot.
The second bag we take is for my daughter, it is a be prepared. I take the changing pad because I don't like to change her on other peoples beds and floors without a changing pad just in case. I usually have a fuel cell inside with her snacks and sometimes an ice pack with some milk depending on the time of day we are going somewhere. I will also have a be quick with some mega blocks in it for her to play with because everyone doesn't always have toddler toys at their house. Also in the bag is a few changes of clothes, bath towel, wash cloths, soap, etc. for a bath, socks, shoes if she can't get away with one pair the whole time, half to three quarters of a package of diapers and other little things we may use here and there. I usually put our little first aid kit with Tylenol, thermometer, etc. in the mommy pocket and her cups in the side bottle pockets empty ready to go when we get where we are going. The be prepared is a mint chip, the fuel cell is a frosted blossom, also the be quick is a frosted blossoms.
The third and fourth bags that we take are both super be's one for me and one for my husband. We usually pack clothes for us and our overnight toiletries bags. There is always room for more which is good because when we go to my parents and in laws both we end up coming home with things haha. The two super be's we have are the admiral and the empress prints.
When we go to a family of five I might have to get some more bags or something haha. Hope you enjoyed this post let me know if you did! Loves your way!
