Packing for Me for a Weekend Away

Hello my wonderful readers. We went on a trip recently that I did a post about what I packed for Penelope last week, well this week I will show you what I packed for myself for the 3 days/2 nights we were away.
First thing is my usual toiletries and makeup.
Second is comfortable clothes for the ride there and Pjs.
Third is my outfit for our day there exploring. Also bathing suit if needed.
Four is my outfit to the wedding we went to.
I have comfy clothes to come home in and also an extra shirt always because I have a toddler and you never know haha.
I also have a bag for the car. My handy be light of course. First is my wallet in a large set piece, cds for the car, my extra keys, the camera, my parents anniversary was Monday so their anniversary card since we dropped our doggie off there on our way at their house, our travel binder with all maps and directions and pitstops if needed, medium set piece with my essential oils we might need for calming and tummy problems, last but not least is my Tinkerbell Funko Pop to take some fun pictures of. My hubby has an Instragram page for cool pictures with Pops: popisphere916.
Hope you enjoyed a look into my bags. Love everyone always.

Packing for a Toddler

Hello my wonderful readers. Today I am going to share with you what I packed for Penelope for a road trip we are on for 3 days/2 nights. We took an eight hour car ride to go to a wedding in Southern California. I started about a couple weeks ago making a list of what we needed to take for her and what needed to go in the car. We have never gone this far with her in the car so it will be quite the experience.
I started out with the portable DVD player we have for her with the charger and multiple movies and shows she enjoys. Miss P is not the best car rider so the DVD player is really all that keeps her from screaming for hours.
I also packed plenty of the snacks she likes and water for the car ride.
Also for the car and the whole trip she has a little backpack with her toys and books, I went with simple toys that were easy to clean up and small books that she can handle.
I also packed a different kind of diaper bag than normal. I have a changing pad which I don't really carry anymore with disposable changing pads as well, baby powder, hand sanitizer, trash bags, a wet bag, first aid kit with neosporin, bandaids and antiseptic wipes, sun hat, extra change of clothes, sippy cup leash, sunblock for all, bubbles for a stop if needed, an extra be light in a medium set piece, a few snacks, spoon, bib, dining mat, wipes, receiving blanket, burp cloth and the Ergo carrier because we aren't bringing the stroller.
First thing I packed in her regular bag is her first aid kit I always take with us when we are traveling anywhere overnight. Tylenol with a syringe is good for teething (which we are going through) and also if a fever happens, which leads me to a thermometer. Next is teething tablets I try to give her instead of Tylenol for pain. Gas drops is next on the list because she gets tummy aches when she travels and they help her a lot. Boogie wipes are a must in case of boogies haha. I also carry neosporin, antiseptic wipes and bandaids in the diaper bag normally. Also finger nail clippers and diaper rash cream.
Next thing is her clothes. She will need pajamas. She will also need three outfits, including one for the wedding, and I always pack one extra just in case of blow outs or throw up. Socks and shoes to match along with any hair clips and a brush. A swimsuit if its warm enough.
Next would be all her extra things. We have baby wash, wash cloths, towel, bath toys and lotion for after bath and Toothbrush and toothpaste.
Not pictured is her nightlight, her favorite blanket, her lovie, the cart/high chair cover and the pack n play for her to sleep in while we are there.
Well that is everything! There is so much stuff you have to bring for a toddler when you are going somewhere for more than a couple hours. Hope you enjoyed a look into Penelope's suitcase. Lots of love to you and yours.

Review of the Be Light

Hello my wonderful readers. Today I'm going to review another Ju-Ju-Be bag because I love them so much. This one in particular I use the most I think. It is called the Be Light. Now Ju-Ju-Be is a diaper bag company, but I believe that you can use some of their bags even if you don't have child because they are so versatile. The Be Light for instance, can just be used as a purse, which I do often when I don't have baby with me. I own two of these in the discontinued Stargyle print (one of my absolute favorites) and in the Moonbeam print. This is tote style bag with comfortable tote straps, it has two insulated pockets in the front that my full size water bottle can fit into easily. It has one small zipper pocket in the inside and that is it for organization. It can fit a regular size book or binder. I use this bag if I am by myself without baby or if I just going on a quick errand with baby that I know she won't need more than one diaper or snack. Pictured here is my Stargyle Be Light.

I think this bag should be in every moms diaper bag stash. Lots of love to all of you.

Easter 2016

Hello my wonderful readers. So we have been traveling the past two weekends for birthdays and Easter. When Easter is in March it makes it a whirlwind of events for the month. We have 4 birthdays in March for immediate family. We went to my mother in laws to celebrate her and my husbands birthday the first weekend. The second weekend we went to my parents to celebrate my dad and grandpa's birthday and also Easter. I will have a post soon on what we bring on a trip with a toddler. We did take some good pictures of the two weekends, I will share a few with you.
We went to a park not far from my mother in laws house and played after naptime, Penelope had a blast.

Aaron then blew out all his candles, thought the smoke alarm would go off haha.
We finished the trip by going to our old church Sunday morning. It was good to see old friends.

The next weekend we did Easter basket opening before we left for my parents house on Saturday. You can see what's in her Easter basket if you look back a couple posts.

She got some bubbles from grandma so we had to blow some, she loved them.

She is showing grandma her egg she found in the grass, her first hunt.

Charlie of course had to photo bomb one picture. My brother and hubby were the ones to hide all the eggs for Penelope and my niece.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. Thank the Lord He has risen.

Review of the Super Be

Hello my wonderful readers! I hope your day is fabulous. Today I am going to review another Ju-Ju-Be bag, called the Super Be. This bag and I have a love relationship all the way! I am absolutely in love with this bag, I have two of them. They are so versatile and can fit so much inside of them. Over the past two weekends we have spent at least one night away from home for birthdays and Easter and me and my husband each used one for an overnight bag and possibly could've just used one they are so big. I have used it for a diaper bag before also and fit everything with room, it's good for sweatshirts and extras you have to carry for winter. A lot of people use them for the beach, we will test it out this summer. This weekend we are going to the snow and I will for sure be taking this beautiful bag with us. The one pictured is the Empress print which I just love, I also have the Admiral print which is navy blue with tan anchors and champagne lining. Both prints are part of the legacy line Ju-Ju-Be has, all have gold hardware.
On the front there is two pockets that are as tall as the bag and have a little insulation around them for bottles and sippy cups; I use it for one sippy cup and my full size water bottle, they stay cold pretty long. In the middle there is a pocket that goes half way down the height of the bag and is zippered closed; I usually put my phone and keys in there and some chap stick.
The inside has a key fob, two mesh pockets on one side and one zippered pocket on the other side. The mesh pockets are wonderful for organization.
A nice big back pocket for a changing pad if needed and snaps closed. This style doesn't come with one. I use it for easy access to burp cloths and bibs, would also be good for coloring books.
This bag has a zipper closure on top, which opens up nicely to see everything inside when needed. It is an unstructured bag, which some people like and some don't it's a personal preference. It folds up nicely to store or if you know you need an extra bag and need to take it with you. It also has little loops on each side to clip a messenger strap to or stroller straps, which work really good. The shoulder straps are padded a little and are very comfortable. Overall I love this bag and would recommend it to anyone.

Miss P's Easter Basket Fun

Hello my wonderful readers! Today I'm going to share with you all the fun stuff we decided to put in Miss Penelope's Easter basket this year. We did not go see the Easter bunny this year partly because Easter snuck up on us being in March this year and also because she absolutely hated Santa haha. With her Easter basket we used the same one I got at Lillian Vernon last year. I paid about $25 for it last year and plan to use it for many years to come because I love it so much and it is personalized to her! We decided on a couple board books for her basket because she is just loving them lately, one is about things that move on the farm and one is Bible stories, which I love because that is the reason for Easter it's that our good Lord has risen! We got her some Little People princesses, Sleeping Beauty is my favorite and Ariel is my moms favorite so this is perfect. We also got her some baby hair bands and clips because her hair is getting so long we will be able to do some pigtails soon and her bangs are so long they need to be clipped back all the time.
Overall I loved the simple little things we got for her Easter basket this year because she has so much stuff from her grandparents. Just remember the reason for the season and the good news that the Lord has Risen! Hope all of you have a wonderful Easter!

Let's Talk Real Life

Hello my wonderful readers!! I want to start off by apologizing about not posting regularly lately. Life has been just that, life! We have been really busy and with Easter coming up it's been a mad house. I do have some fun things to blog about I just have to sit down and do it. With Penelope running all over and learning to get on our couch now it has been a constant running after her thing. Plus I have been doing this really intense (for me) Bible study that I think I will review after I'm finished but it has a lot of homework I have been doing during nap time each day. I have just run out of hours in the day to blog, but I intend to get back to it this next week after this busy weekend! So I will see you all right back here next Thursday morning with something good! Love each other always!
