Bouncing Baby - Grandmas and Grandpa Time

Hello my wonderful readers. A couple weekends ago we had visits from both of our parents. It's always nice when they want to come see Penelope and play with her since she isn't much into being held anymore except by daddy. We spent Saturday with Grandma and played at the park and went to eat and even went to the farmers market. Below is Aaron with his mom and Penelope at the park.
On Sunday we met my parents (Grandma and Grandpa) at Micke Grove Zoo.
Above is her in her big girl stroller with daddy. Below is her with grandma and grandpa.

After the zoo we had a little picnic and it called for some shades, my dad caught the perfect picture of her haha.

We saw lots of monkeys, lemurs and turtles.

We even sat on a big turtle and took a picture.
Hope you enjoyed our trip to the zoo as much as Penelope did. Loves.

Bouncing Baby - First Pool Time

Hello my wonderful readers. Penelope is 7 months old now and we took her for the first time in a swimming pool. She actually liked it after panicking for a few minutes. It has been getting warm here where we live in California so we thought it was time to get out the swim diaper, rash guard, hat and plenty of sunscreen.
This was right before we got in, she is watching the other kids play.

We got her this little turtle floaty to sit in with a canopy, she kept licking the head haha.
And last but certainly not least, with her favorite person daddy. Hope you enjoyed our swim fun. Loves.

Bouncing Baby - First County Fair

Hello my wonderful readers. A couple weeks ago we went to our local county fair, it was Penelope's first fair. Now county fairs hold a place in my heart because I started going to them when I was younger and entered fruits and veggies and flowers in the fair and then as an adult I worked in the office of the county fair and it was the best job I ever had. Well when I found out the county fair was happening in our area I wanted to go and take Penelope to her first. So we got there around lunch time and of course had to partake in some fair food it's a must: Aaron had a hot link (he ate it before I took the picture it was good), we shared these amazing garlic fries and I had a mini funnel cake.

We then went to check out the animals because we knew Penelope would like that.

I just love this picture of her and Aaron, I just love her face she is such a cheeser.
She watched daddy feed some ducks too.
I just love her little overalls.

She took such a good picture with us this time.
Hope you get to attend your local county fair. Loves.

Bouncing Baby - 7 Months

Hello my wonderful readers. On May 27th our little baby girl turned 7 months old. It is so hard to believe that 7 months has gone by that fast. She is loving baby food: apples, pears, bananas, carrots, winter squash, and sweet potatoes. She has two teeth coming in on the bottom front so we have been going through the fussing and drooling that comes with that. She went through another cold this month I think because she is putting everything in her mouth due to teething. She can pull herself up onto her knees now and she is crawling around quickly. She kind of sounds like she says mama but not really clear yet.
Due to her moving around so much and starting to climb on things we have baby proofed. Besides putting everything within reach out of reach and covering electrical outlets we have covered the coffee table in the places she hits her head and creatively covered our fireplace that we don't use.

Her and daddy have been having fun with the rest of the letters and numbers.
This is our coffee table she keeps crawling back and forth between the two sides of it.

Miss carrot face. :-)
She is just big enough for the umbrella stroller now so we used it to watch a parade outside our place a couple weeks ago. She fell asleep right before the parade started haha.

She loves her doggie, a smile comes to her face everytime she sees him.
She is also starting to sit alone but still needs a little support. Hope you enjoy these pictures of our little one as much as we do. Loves.

Bouncing Baby - First Mother's Day

Hello my wonderful readers. A few weeks ago I got to celebrate my first Mother's Day with my little one. It was a good one because we did exactly what I wanted to do. We went to church and then we went and had a relaxing picnic at the park just the three of us. The day before we went to my mother-in-law's house to celebrate with her and my mom was out of town so we saw her the next weekend. Our little picnic was relaxing and just wonderful in general, just the three of us.

After our little picnic lunch we just played around and relaxed on our picnic towel. After that we went for a walk and little missy fell asleep in the stroller.

Above is my Mother's Day gift/ Birthday gift. My birthday was the next weekend. The bracelet is a Keep Collective bracelet, I have the three important things in my life represented, God, my marriage to Aaron and my baby girl Penelope.
Penelope wore her very first onesie that says anything about mommy, everyone got her things that say daddy.

Overall we had a wonderful day and it was a wonderful first Mother's Day. Loves.

Women's Retreat 2015

Hello my wonderful readers. At the beginning of this month I went on a women's retreat with my church, mostly the group of women from mom's group. It was the first time I left Penelope overnight, I was really worried about her all weekend. Now I am totally NOT saying my husband couldn't handle it because he did an amazing job. When I left on Friday afternoon she had a slight fever, so i went back and forth on whether I should even leave or not, Aaron took her to the ER on Friday night because her fever had gone up and every time we gave her Tylenol she would spit it up, so nothing was getting in her system to help. I did not have cell phone service where I was but I could get Wi-Fi in certain spots so I did facetime him Saturday morning and found out. I felt like a really bad mother at that point for leaving and wanted to just sit and cry. The woman that had brought me up there offered to bring me home, but I knew if I left I would regret it. I stayed and had a wonderful, God filled weekend and made relationships with women from church of all ages, which is what I was wanting so bad since moving to the area.
The place we went to is in Challenge, CA it's called Woodleaf. It was extremely beautiful and anyone who goes there cannot say God doesn't exist because it's amazing. The theme this year was "What's your story?", and there were some women who gave their amazing stories. The praise leader was awesome, brought me to tears multiple times.

When I got home Sunday afternoon Penelope's fever was completely gone and she just had a small runny nose and was happy to see me.

I missed her so much and worried about her but getting away was what I needed because I haven't been without her for more than two hours at a time since she was born 6 months ago. I love her and my amazing husband so much. Loves.
