Bouncing Baby - 8 Month Update

Hello my wonderful readers. I can't believe that Penelope Ann is 8 months old already. Time has flown by since those four longs days in the hospital. Aaron and I were just looking at pictures of when we brought her home and how different she looks now from then. She is just doing so many things now and is so smart.

She is crawling quickly around and pulling herself all the way up on the bouncer, couch, TV stand and coffee table.
She is eating baby food 3 times a day: her breakfast favorite is Plum Banana Brown Rice, her lunch favorite is Sweet Potatoes (also her favorite veggie in general) and her dinner favorite I think so far is a new one she just tried Apple Turkey Cranberry. Her favorite fruit is Apples. I feed her Earth's Best brand jar food. She also just started eating Gerber My 1st Puffs original flavor.
She loves her giraffe blanket lovey. She still is not sleeping through the night all the way, she sleeps half the night in her crib and wakes up and then sleeps the rest of the night in our bed with us. Part of the reason I think she isn't sleeping through the night yet is because she is in the same room as us still but with a one bedroom apartment you can't do much about that. Hopefully soon we can change some things.
She loves her daddy, he is her favorite person and I'm just fine with that. He is amazing with her and gives her a bath every night and her night time bottle.
She loves when we read her books and she has a lot of them. Her favorite is Paddington Bear.

I have started thinking of her 1st birthday party. I'm excited to plan it and throw it, just me and Aaron making decisions will be nice for a change.

Hope you enjoy hearing about our little one. Loves.

Bouncing Baby - 1st Father's Day

Hello my wonderful readers. I can't believe it is July already the time is flying by. A couple weeks ago we celebrated Aaron's first Father's Day. We went to my parents for the weekend and we had a relaxing time. My parents had a BBQ at their house on Sunday to celebrate all the fathers in our family. My mom bought one of those plastic kiddie pools so we filled it up a bit and Penelope and my niece Sophia got in and played since it was so hot.
Above is daddy with his little girl, her onesie says "Our first Father's Day."
Below is me with Penelope and my brother with his daughter Sophia.

Penelope hung out in her bouncer since we were out on the patio for the BBQ. Below is me and her the day before in the pool.

Overall I think Aaron had a good first Father's Day. Loves.

Bouncing Baby - Grandmas and Grandpa Time

Hello my wonderful readers. A couple weekends ago we had visits from both of our parents. It's always nice when they want to come see Penelope and play with her since she isn't much into being held anymore except by daddy. We spent Saturday with Grandma and played at the park and went to eat and even went to the farmers market. Below is Aaron with his mom and Penelope at the park.
On Sunday we met my parents (Grandma and Grandpa) at Micke Grove Zoo.
Above is her in her big girl stroller with daddy. Below is her with grandma and grandpa.

After the zoo we had a little picnic and it called for some shades, my dad caught the perfect picture of her haha.

We saw lots of monkeys, lemurs and turtles.

We even sat on a big turtle and took a picture.
Hope you enjoyed our trip to the zoo as much as Penelope did. Loves.

Bouncing Baby - First Pool Time

Hello my wonderful readers. Penelope is 7 months old now and we took her for the first time in a swimming pool. She actually liked it after panicking for a few minutes. It has been getting warm here where we live in California so we thought it was time to get out the swim diaper, rash guard, hat and plenty of sunscreen.
This was right before we got in, she is watching the other kids play.

We got her this little turtle floaty to sit in with a canopy, she kept licking the head haha.
And last but certainly not least, with her favorite person daddy. Hope you enjoyed our swim fun. Loves.

Bouncing Baby - First County Fair

Hello my wonderful readers. A couple weeks ago we went to our local county fair, it was Penelope's first fair. Now county fairs hold a place in my heart because I started going to them when I was younger and entered fruits and veggies and flowers in the fair and then as an adult I worked in the office of the county fair and it was the best job I ever had. Well when I found out the county fair was happening in our area I wanted to go and take Penelope to her first. So we got there around lunch time and of course had to partake in some fair food it's a must: Aaron had a hot link (he ate it before I took the picture it was good), we shared these amazing garlic fries and I had a mini funnel cake.

We then went to check out the animals because we knew Penelope would like that.

I just love this picture of her and Aaron, I just love her face she is such a cheeser.
She watched daddy feed some ducks too.
I just love her little overalls.

She took such a good picture with us this time.
Hope you get to attend your local county fair. Loves.

Bouncing Baby - 7 Months

Hello my wonderful readers. On May 27th our little baby girl turned 7 months old. It is so hard to believe that 7 months has gone by that fast. She is loving baby food: apples, pears, bananas, carrots, winter squash, and sweet potatoes. She has two teeth coming in on the bottom front so we have been going through the fussing and drooling that comes with that. She went through another cold this month I think because she is putting everything in her mouth due to teething. She can pull herself up onto her knees now and she is crawling around quickly. She kind of sounds like she says mama but not really clear yet.
Due to her moving around so much and starting to climb on things we have baby proofed. Besides putting everything within reach out of reach and covering electrical outlets we have covered the coffee table in the places she hits her head and creatively covered our fireplace that we don't use.

Her and daddy have been having fun with the rest of the letters and numbers.
This is our coffee table she keeps crawling back and forth between the two sides of it.

Miss carrot face. :-)
She is just big enough for the umbrella stroller now so we used it to watch a parade outside our place a couple weeks ago. She fell asleep right before the parade started haha.

She loves her doggie, a smile comes to her face everytime she sees him.
She is also starting to sit alone but still needs a little support. Hope you enjoy these pictures of our little one as much as we do. Loves.
