Hello my wonderful readers. I was just thinking, there is something missing from my day....O man it's the 31 day challenge to bring you a bible verse about marriage each day. So here is day thirteen.
Day 13 -
"Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers."
-- 1 Peter 3:7
So this verse is one that has some hard things in it for women to handle at times. We are called the "weaker" partner I believe because the man is the head of the household no matter what. What I like about this verse is the beginning because it tells husbands to be just as considerate and treat your wives and submit to them in the same ways they are doing to you. Also it tells the husband to treat his wife with respect and all will be well, if you treat her with respect and respect her qualities, even if they get on your nerves at times, she will respect you and yours as well. Loves.

Day 12 of the Challenge
Hello my wonderful readers. I am bringing you day twelve of the 31 day challenge to bring you a bible verse about marriage everyday.
Day 12 -
"But Zipporah took a flint knife, cut off her son's foreskin and touched Moses' feet with it. "Surely you are the bridegroom of blood to me," she said."
--Exodus 4:25
This verse is about Moses' wife having to perform an act that Moses should have done as the father. In doing this she formed some resentment towards him. Sometimes in your marriage you have expectations of your spouse and when they don't meet these expectations, because they are human and not perfect, you start to resent them which can cause some not so nice words to be said to each other when things happen. To try to avoid this you should, when you start to even feel any resentment, talk about it with your spouse in a calm environment. One of you should listen and one of you should talk and then the other way around, do not try to talk to each other at the same time because that means no one is listening. Loves!

Day 11 of the Challenge
Hello my fabulous readers, hope today is treating you well, smile it's Friday!! Today I am bringing you day eleven of the 31 day challenge to bring you a bible verse about marriage every day.
Day 11 -
"Pharaoh gave Joseph the name Zaphenath-Paneah and gave him Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, to be his wife."
--Genesis 41:45
Joseph was given Asenath for a wife, she was the daughter of a pagan priest, in other words she was not a believer in God. Joseph really didn't have a choice but to marry an unbeliever because all the believers were hundreds of miles away. But obviously his children were raised as believers because they later on became the tribes of Israel. It is really hard to marry a person that is a non-believer when you are very much a believer, I think. But God has a plan and may have brought you two together to make the non-believer a believer or for your children to be believers and do great things just like Joseph and his descendants. If you are in this in position and you are a believer and thinking about marrying an non-believer, PRAY and ask God if this is the path he wants for you, if it is go for it because amazing things will come out of it. Loves.

Day 10 of the Challenge
Hello my beautiful readers. Thanks for sticking with me through this first part of the 31 day challenge to bring you a bible verse about marriage each day. Here is day ten.
Day 10 -
"My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?"
-- Genesis 19:9
So today's post is a little late because it has been a busy day :-) The verse is about Joseph and the encounter he had with Potiphar's wife. She came on to him and he said no. We are all human and sometimes we feel neglected, like Potiphar's wife, by our spouse and we might stray or think about straying. To make sure that an affair NEVER happens you could do three things. First be self-aware and have a clear sense of moral boundaries. Second is to have an exit strategy if you are put in a situation that is uncomfortable or you know is a bad situation for you to be in as a married woman or man. Third is to not deny your vulnerability, talk to your spouse about how you are feeling about temptation and if you are feeling neglected in any way. I actually enjoyed this very real verse and topic today.
Loves.

Wednesday Recipe - Chocolate Dipped Pretzels
Hello my hungry readers. This past weekend I made chocolate dipped pretzels and they were so ugly but so delicious so I thought I would share how I did it with you.
Ingredients: Pretzels of your choice, I used two different kinds of chocolate, with the white chocolate I used a half a bag of white chocolate chips and with the milk chocolate I used an extra large Hershey's bar.
Directions:
1. I took four pots, two a bit bigger than the other two, and with the two bigger ones I filled them about 1/3 full with water and started to boil it.
2. With the two smaller pots I put the white chocolate chips into one and broke up the Hershey's bar into the other.
3. Now here is the trick I put the two smaller pots inside the two bigger pots, but made sure the small pots were not touching the bottom of the inside of the bigger pots, this is very important or else the chocolate will burn (I've done that..oopps!).
4. As the chocolate was melting in the smaller pots, I took a cookie sheet, any size, and put some wax paper on it.
5. When the white chocolate was melted good I started to dip the pretzels into the chocolate, you can do this how ever you think it should be done.
6. After dipping each one I layed them onto the wax papered cookie sheet and then dropped some the milk chocolate onto each one.
7. I then put the cookie sheet into the fridge for an hour or how ever long you want, then I took it out and peeled the pretzels off and put them on a plate and put them in the freezer for about 30 mins to get them nice and solid.
8. Enjoy!
I hope you enjoy this wonderful dessert. Loves.
Day 9 of the Challenge
Hello fabulous readers of mine. I bring you day nine of the 31 day challenge to bring you a bible verse about marriage.
Day 9 -
"Jacob made love to Rachel also, and his love for Rachel was greater than his love for Leah. And he worked for Laban another seven year."
-- Genesis 29:30
So today's verse is talking about the story of Jacob trying to work to marry Rachel, his one true love, when he went to marry Rachel her father tricked him into marrying Leah instead. He did eventually marry Rachel and she was his favorite. This made Leah feel really bad, but she turned to God and he made her feel worth much more. I know I have the problem of comparing myself to my husband's ex girlfriend, which is a bad habit to have, because I married him, I'm the winner! It is just hard to think that he loved someone before he loved me. A lot of people, men and women, struggle with this in their relationships. What has helped me is to look what you have around you, he or she is with you and you have it great, then pray to God to take the other feelings away that aren't of him. Enjoy each other not the ones that came before you, they don't matter now. Loves!
