May Favorites

Hello my amazing readers. It's time for monthly favorites. My favorites are pretty much the same as past months for May. Except maybe these two things that I have really liked.
1. Author Shauna Niequist: Currently I'm reading Present Over Perfect also I'm doing the bible study with my small group. I am also reading Savor which is a year long devotional that is so good. My small group did Bread and Wine  last summer and it was so very good, I might actually reread it this summer or move onto her other books. I just love the way she writes, I feel like I am having a conversation with her, which I love.
2. Call the Midwife: I am into season 6 now so I am getting close to what is actually showing on TV now which is season 7. I am loving this show, it makes me want to be a midwife every time I watch it or even a nurse or doula haha.
I would love to hear some of your monthly favorites for the month of May. Lots of Love.

Woodland Scottish Games 2018

Hello my wonderful readers. Sorry I am a little later than I wanted to be with this post we have just been so busy and it doesn't look like it's going to stop either for a little while. At the end of April we went to the Woodland Celtic Festival and Highland Games. I have grown up going to the Highland games all over my whole life, in 2012 I took Aaron for the first time to a games with me and that was to Woodland. In 2015 we took Penelope for the first time to a games also in Woodland and now this year, 2018, we took the twins to their first in Woodland as well. It was also the first games I have been to I think since my grandma has passed away so it was a little hard for me since she was the person who loved to attend them the most. We met up with some friends there so it made it better. Here are so fun pictures we took during the day.
This was the cutest little picture opportunity.
The twins also had their first banger, which they both liked. Next time we will try meat pies hopefully if there isn't such a long line.

Of course, just like I did with Penelope, I took my kilt my grandma made me when I was little and put it on each of the twins for a picture.
My hubby is so handsome so I had to share his beer selfie. <3
This is one my favorites from the day! A lot of time we forget to take pictures of ourselves but I'm so glad we took this one.
As you can see the place was crowded after awhile.
Hope you enjoyed me sharing about our trip to the Woodland games. Lots of love.

April Monthly Favorites

Hello my wonderful readers! It's that time of month that I share what I loved from the month before. April came and went so fast I don't have as many things as I have in the past months.

1. Coloring: I have really gotten back into my adult coloring books, I found 3 in my closet when I cleaned it out haha. I like to sit with Aaron after the kids have gone to bed and color while he watches what he wants.
2. Podcasts: I have loved listening to the sermons from our church if we missed going. Also I like the Harshe podcast with January Harshe and her husband Brandon, they talk about large family topics and postpartum experiences, etc. Also Aaron and I listen to a podcast once a week together that Aaron's friend does called Classless Chat and it's pretty funny.
3. Chai Tea Latte K-cups: they are Walmart brand, I tried it at moms group a couple times and had to track them down. I am usually not one to shy away from my peppermint mocha creamer only but I really like this.
4. Playing with the kids outside: we ended April with warm enough weather to fill our little pool and the kids are loving it! It's nice to watch them play and just put my feet in the little pool and then eat Popsicles with them.

That's really it for the month of April, see you in the next post!

Penelope Ann at 3.5 years old!

Hello my wonderful readers! I cannot believe our little girl is 3.5 years old! It is crazy to think how fast time is going by and how fast she is growing into a real little person that can do things on her own.
She is wearing 3T/4T pull ups and size 4 panties. She can go to the bathroom alone and wash her hands and all which is a big relief for me with 2 others that always need something. She does have her accidents still but when we are home she is good to wear panties all day and a pull up at night. When we are out and about we put a pull up on her because she gets distracted and doesn't say anything until its too late so we are still working on that.
She is wearing size 3T/4T clothes. The 3T pants are a little short for her long legs and 4T pants waistbands are too big for her little waist haha. She wears anywhere from a 3T-5T size shirt depending on the brand and size 8 (I think) shoes.
She sleeps through the night but has a hard time falling asleep, she likes to talk herself to sleep haha. She is dropping her nap but we do still have rest time.
She eats like any normal toddler, whenever she feels like it, some days she eats barely anything and the next day she eats everything. She is on whole milk because that's what the twins are on and I think it's silly to buy two different types of milk, she drinks water most of the day though. She has a multivitamin in the morning with breakfast.
We are pretty much on the same routine as the last time I posted about it.
Firsts since she turned 3: She got to bake Christmas cookies with grandma for the first time, First birthday party for her brother and sister (she helped blow out candles and open gifts), First memorial for a great grandparent, First friends birthday party (she had a blast), First cousin born after her, first time helping make a birthday cake for daddy, since being 3 she has really experienced everything more because she understands more now.
She can walk by herself all over with no problems. We have a harness backpack with a leash to use when we are at a busy fair or event.

Hope you enjoyed a little update on our big girl! Lots of Love.

March Monthly Favorites

Hello my wonderful readers. Today I'm going to share my March monthly favorites with you. I only had a few this month including things from past months. So here we go:

1. Call the Midwife / Parenthood: during nap time or before bed I like to relax by watching a show. I finished the show Parenthood recently and cried the whole time happy and sad tears it was such a good show. Now I am onto Call the Midwife. I absolutely love period dramas (I was so bummed when Downton Abbey went off I almost cried!). I find birth very interesting so this period drama centered around a midwife's life is right up my alley.
2. Bracelets: being a mom to small kiddos I can't wear a lot of dainty necklaces that I like a lot because they get pulled on so I am really getting into bracelets like cuffs and stuff that I can stack together. I am kind of picky which ones I like but the ones I do have I am loving and got almost all of them from my friend Alicia that sells Paparazzi Jewelry. You can find her sales group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/AliciasJewelryVault/?ref=br_rs
3. Decorating for the seasons/holidays with Penelope: I am trying to teach Penelope about the holidays and the seasons of the year now that she is really understanding. So for each holiday and season we are decorating with some coloring project or paper project something to hang up and remind us what season/holiday it is.
4. Reading to the kids: The last thing I have been loving is reading to my kids. Now that the twins are really understanding what is going on and Andrew is even starting to say book, they love when I read to them which makes it so enjoyable.

Share with me some of your favorites in the comments so I can give them a try. Lots of Love!

Easter Baskets 2018

Hello my wonderful readers. Happy Easter!!! He is Risen!!! I thought I would share what is in our kids Easter baskets today. I hope you and your family are having a wonderful day just like we are.
For our 3 year old we have her forever Easter basket we got her for her first Easter. This year we had a little miscommunication between hubby and I, haha, so Penelope will get two movies and a Jasmine doll to add to her collection she has going of these Disney Princess Royal shimmer dolls, also not pictured is a small unicorn bracelet.

For our 15 month old twins we got a book, snack and one small toy. Juliet loves baby dolls and Andrew love Thomas the train.
Penelope's Basket is from Lillian Vernon and the twins bags are from a friend of mines shop Three Little Chicks (https://www.facebook.com/groups/ThreeLittleChicks/).
Here they all 3 are packed up how the Easter bunny will bring them on Easter morning. Starting last year we wanted to set a rule of 1 book or movie and 1 small toy per child as to not get carried away and spend too much because with 3 kids that could cost a fortune haha. So I wish you and your family a very Happy Easter!!! and remember He is Risen!!!

February Monthly Favorites

Hello my wonderful readers! I am here to tell you what my monthly favorites were for February. I can't believe it's March already where has the time gone, I feel like we have been so busy the past month.

1.My first favorite has been bracelets. Now I don't usually wear a lot of jewelry but I have been trying to wear some more on a day to day basis because it makes me feel good for some reason. I am very picky about what jewelry I wear so I love to pick stuff out myself and I have been loving Paparazzi Jewelry lately and I have two friends that sell it which is so awesome to support friend's businesses. Here are the links to their shopping groups on Facebook : Alicia's Jewelry Vault  https://www.facebook.com/groups/AliciasJewelryVault/ and $5 Bling by Mal  https://www.facebook.com/groups/146925245878419/

2. I am still loving my LuLaRoe leggings!!!

3. We are still cleaning out things and organizing things in our home and I am so loving that!

4. And last but not least I am loving reading. I don't get to do it very often but besides books I am loving blogs because they are quicker which works good for my mommy days. One that I really love is my friend Ashley's blog http://www.domesticfashionista.com/

Hope you check out some of my favorites! Let me know what some of yours are in the comments so I can try them out too.
