Outfit of the Day - December 27, 2013

Hello my fabulous readers! Today's outfit of the day I wore to my mom's side's family Christmas this past weekend. I wanted to be Christmasy but not too much. So I went with my pearls, natural makeup, and hair straight down. I chose my red Old Navy thermal with white polka dots on it with my mint green cardigan (also from Old Navy) and my jean skirt from Target.

I went with my Target american flag know off Toms as the shoes because they are comfy. Loves until next week.

Wednesday Recipe - Creamy Tomato Tortellini Soup

Hello my hungry readers! I made the most delicious soup the other night. It was even good the next day. Here is the amazing recipe I found.
Ingredients:

2 whole large Cloves Of Garlic Minced

2 Tbl Olive Oil

2-10¾ oz Cans of Condensed Tomato Soup

1/4 cup Sun Dried Tomatoes, chopped or 2 Tbl Of Sun Dried Tomato Paste

2 cups Half-and-half

2 cups Chicken Stock

1 tsp Onion Powder

1 Tbl Italian Seasoning

1/2 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Pepper

1 whole 9 Oz Package Of Cheese Filled Tortellini

1/2 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese, for garnish

Directions:
1. Saute garlic with the olive oil in a large stock pot over medium heat until golden brown. Be sure to keep an eye on it so it doesn’t get too brown or burnt. 2. When the garlic is done, add tomato soup, tomatoes, half and half, chicken stock and spices. 3. Bring to a simmer. 4. Once simmering, drop tortellini into the soup. Cook according to the package directions. 5. After tortellini are cooked, ladle soup into bowls and top with parmesan cheese
It was so delicious and easy everyone should try this just once at least. Loves.

Fancy Date Night

Hello my wonderful amazing readers. Hope your getting all ready for Christmas, I know we are around our house. We actually have been so on the go since we got married that we finally are slowing down, besides the holiday coming up, so we decided to use a couple gift cards we got for our wedding to a really nice steakhouse in a near by town. We got all dressed up and we both had the night off work and just went out on our first real date alone since we got married.

We had a great time. Drank wine and ate calamari and soup and salad before our meal.

I had lobster and Aaron had a steak and potatoes. All was delicious and we even brought some home to have the next day as well.
We had such a wonderful night and actually stayed out later than we normally would and loved just being together. Loves.

Wednesday Recipe- Bacon Delights

Hello my hungry readers! So the Pioneer Woman made these delicious little things on her Christmas show and I just have to share them with you in case you don't follow her blog, which you should. The first thing is that they make your house smell so very good and they taste good as well. They are good for snacks and the Pioneer Woman said you can freeze them if needed, ours didn't make it that far haha.
Ingredients: 1 package Club Crackers,

1 pound Thin Sliced Bacon (or More Depending On Number Of Crackers),

Grated Parmesan Cheese,

Optional Alternative: Brown Sugar Instead Of Parmesan Cheese

Directions:
1. Lay crackers (as many as you want) face up on a cookie sheet.
2. Scoop about 1 teaspoon of grated Parmesan cheese onto each cracker.
3. Cut your package of bacon in half (or cut pieces individually) and carefully,
4. so the cheese doesn’t fall off, wrap each cheese covered cracker in one half piece of bacon, completely covering the cracker. It should fit snugly around the cracker.
5. Place the bacon wrapped crackers onto a baking sheet that has a rack on it.
6. Place in a 250-degree oven for about 2 hours.
These are delicious you should definitely try these for a Christmas party or just because. Loves.

Getting in the Christmas Spirit

Hello my wonderful readers! There is only 9 days until Christmas so I hope you all are getting in the spirit of the holiday. I love Christmas, it is one of my favorite holidays. This year I got my Christmas cards out and all my shopping done, except for my husband's gift haha, done early, like the first weekend of December early! We put our tree up and I decorated the house before Thanksgiving I was so excited.  Last night we went and got coffee, caramel brulee latte mmmmm, and drove around to look at lights.
We also received our first married Christmas card :-).
I also found this amazing Christmas Tea, it smells and tastes like Christmas, it puts me so in the spirit.
I also made Scottish shortbread for all the neighbors.
Well there will be a few more Christmas posts to come, so check back soon. Loves and Merry Christmas.

Just Some Thoughts

So it's been awhile since I just did a post with just my thoughts. We have been going non stop to events and just doing stuff since we got married 3 months ago and we are both exhausted.
1. I have been struggling with the fact that we haven't gotten pregnant yet and I think it is because of the stress and exhaustion of running all over the place. Hopefully after the holidays we will spend more time at home together and just being married.
2. This past weekend we spent the whole weekend in the hospital with my mother in law and missed our 3 month anniversary and also our 2 year anniversary of meeting each other, which both aren't big deals but still. I am just tired I guess and just want to be with my husband and no one else. This weekend I have to work and then next is our family Christmas, then Christmas its self, then New Years.
3. The good thing is there is only 13 days until Christmas and Christmas cards have gone out and all the Christmas shopping is done for everyone except I want to get one more thing for Aaron and bake a little something for the neighbors.
4. In college I went through a small depression and I feel like I have it back again. I am trying so hard to not pull Aaron into it and just be relaxed when he is home and be a good wife but sometimes it just feels awful like the world is coming to an end and I know its not.
5. After the first of the year I am going to find a new job I decided because I don't think I can work at my work anymore because it is just getting to be too much.
6. I am really upset that we don't have our wedding pictures yet, we have been married almost 14 weeks and she told us 12-16 weeks before we get our pictures. I just think this is ridiculous because we had friends that got married about the same time as us and they got theirs a month ago. She didn't tell us about it being 12-16 weeks until after the wedding.
Until next time Loves.
