Pumpkin Patches 2016

Hello my wonderful readers. Besides Apple Hill this year we went to a couple pumpkin patches and had some fun with friends and family. Both the patches were local to us and the first we went to with our moms group from church, the second we went to with my family.
This was the first one we went to with our moms group. She was having a bad day and this cheered her up a little and she just had so much fun.

She loved seeing the animals and just exploring.

The second pumpkin patch was with my family which we do every year for the past 3 years. Aaron took Penelope on the train they had at the pumpkin patch, she loved every minute of it.

Grandpa helped her feed a goat.

Another one of her and daddy on the train along with my dad and niece on the train with them.
Hope you enjoy this time a year as much as we do. Happy and safe Halloween to all!

Bouncing Baby - Update Week 28 & 29

Hello my wonderful readers. We are now in the 3rd trimester!!! I cannot believe how fast the time is going by with these babies and pretty soon we will be holding two newborns! Crazy!!
Week 28
The week started off good relaxing Monday and then on Tuesday we went to a small local pumpkin patch with our Moms group and Penelope had a lot of fun. Tuesday was also a particularly hard day for her and she screamed all day it seemed like. I think we are for sure entering the terrible twos. I think just having a hard day and all with her made me really stressed and bending over to pick her up too much made me have quite a few Braxton Hicks contractions, by the end of the day Aaron had to take over and I had to go to bed early so I could get things to feel better, they eventually went away and both me and Penelope slept really good that night. Wednesday and Thursday turned into relaxing movie days where we both just drank lots of water and took it easy. Friday Penelope had her two year check up (future post on this). The week ended with another visit to a pumpkin patch with my family, we started a family tradition this is the third year (this will also be in a future post). Also on Saturday we said good bye to one of our friends from church that we will miss so much as they move to the East Coast, you can follow their journey at domesticfashionista.com. We will miss them! The week ended on Sunday me having to go do my 3 hour glucose test due to failing the 1 hour last week.
Week 29
The week started with a regular doctors appointment. Both babies have great heartbeats, my blood pressure is good and I gained 2 lbs. Other than that we decided on a scheduled c-section that will be discussed as we get closer to the time the babies should arrive and determine when to do it based on how they are developed. Other than that I am just tired and starting to enter that uncomfortable stage as I just get bigger by the second. I passed the 3 hour glucose test and do not have gestational diabetes. Overall we are all 3 doing good and just getting bigger. Tuesday we had moms group and life group which made for a really long day. Wednesday was a relaxing play day and Thursday was relaxing as well just had bible study at night. Friday we went down the street to the community center in our costumes (see other post for pictures) for Penelope's first trick or treating experience. I think she was having fun but also was a little scared of all the people dressed up. The week ended with an exhausting emotionally up and down weekend. Saturday we dropped Penelope off with my mom and drove a couple hours to watch some friends get married at a beautiful place, at the reception we had a whole lot of delicious food that my pregnant self was so thankful for. We had decided to stay the night in a hotel close the the reception instead of driving so much back home and to have one more romantic night away before the babies come. About 9:30pm my mom called me and told me my grandma had passed away. Sunday we left the hotel super early and got to my parents house to get Penelope and go see my grandpa. All the emotion really took a toll on me and for sure caused me to have a few Braxton Hicks but Aaron was able to calm me down and they went away, thank the Lord for good husbands. Hopefully the next few weeks are a little better.

Bouncing Toddler - 2 Year Check Up

Hello my wonderful readers. I cannot believe that my first baby is almost 2 years old!!! She is 2 today and just had her check up. We changed her doctor and so far love her so nice and good explanations. Penelope is 34 inches tall and 26.7 pounds. She is on track growth wise which is awesome. I just can't believe she is 2. It has just gone by so fast! The second year has brought her to running full on, brushing her teeth pretty much by herself, moving from a crib to a toddler bed, trick or treating for the first time, and so many more things. I just can't get over how much she has learned in this past year. She is talking so much and saying actual words and asking for things. It just seems like time has gone so fast.
Here she is in her new bed.
Here she is with her books at the doctor waiting for her shots and then to get her blood drawn for the first time.
Here she is the first time I got to hold her in the hospital and with daddy a couple weeks ago at the pumpkin patch. Can't believe how fast time has gone! Happy Birthday baby girl mommy and daddy love you so very much!

Apple Hill 2016

Hello my wonderful readers. I just love the Fall! I love Apple Hill as you would know if you have followed my blog awhile. This year was our 5th year going to Apple Hill in the Fall season, can't believe next year we will have two more little ones joining us for our annual trip. We got to go to Apple Hill twice this season: once in August just the 3 of us and once in October with some friends of ours that had never really been before.
This is the first trip in August, we went to some of our favorite places and Penelope had lots of fun.

The next trip we went to all the popular spots we don't normally go to with our friends since they hadn't really been there before, Penelope loved the pumpkin patch.

Overall both times we went were awesome! We just love Apple Hill and can't wait to continue the tradition next year with our two other additions. Love always!

Bouncing Baby - Update Week 26 & 27

Hello my wonderful readers. I apologize this pregnancy I haven't done as good of a job at blogging because of just being so busy and trying to get so many things done before these babies come, all while taking care of an almost 2 year old heading into her terrible twos.
Week 26
This week started with another ultrasound (#4 to be exact so far) to get a good enough image of baby A's heart. We got one!!!!! Yay!! everything is normal for both babies they can officially say now. Not much else happened this week except that which took a huge burden off our shoulders because we every ultrasound we just kept thinking maybe something was wrong. The week ended with a trip with our friends to Apple Hill, which if you have followed my blog awhile you know is one of our favorite places ever! They hadn't been in years so we did all the major touristy spots that we don't normally do which was really fun. Penelope loved the pumpkin patch and cried so much having to leave it she could've played in the pumpkins all day. Future post to come soon, hopefully, with all of our Apple Hill pictures from our visits this season.
Week 27
This week was a little more tiring as we had Moms group at church on Tuesday. My grandma had surgery on Wednesday, which I drove two hours there and two hours back in one day alone after sitting in the hospital waiting room chairs for about 6 hours, this for sure tore up my back bad. Aaron and Penelope stayed home for a father daughter day because she couldn't have been good for that long sitting in a waiting room. My grandma came out all good with a brand new shoulder so praise God for that! The week ended with nothing but going to do my glucose test and failing it (more in the next post), other than that we relaxed and just spent time as a family for the weekend, which was really nice.
Hope you enjoy these updates, I'm going to try to be more on time as we are slowing down with doing things now that I'm getting into the 3rd trimester, can't believe how fast the time is going by! Love everyone!
