Review It #14 - Wunderlist App

Hello my amazing readers. I hope all of you are having wonderful days. I thought I would do a review it post today on one of my new favorite apps. I have an IPhone 4 just so you guys know and I am a serious list maker. I wanted an app where I could see the whole list even after I cross things off of it, and this app does exactly that. I use it for a quick grocery list or so many others for the wedding, since my phone is always with me I can always pull up my lists, which makes this list happy girl very excited. It is free, which makes it even better, it can also be found in both the apple app store and droid store. You can add people to see certain lists if you want and make as many lists as you want. I just think this app is awesome all the way around. The top two pictures here are of the app icon and what the app looks like when it is loading.

These two pictures are of the list itself showing some things crossed off, and you can add them back onto the list also by just clicking them again. The second photo is of the menu of your lists where you can add new lists, you can see here I have two lists for the wedding by months and one for after. :-) Well until next time, Loves!!!

Wedding Blog #20 - Gifts For Parents and Bridal Party

Hello my amazing readers. The next few posts are probably going to be wedding related because we are getting really close to the big day! I decided to share with you the gifts we got for the people most important to us in the wedding. :-)
The first one here is a gift from me to my daddy, it a handkerchief, that makes me cry everytime I read it.  I love my daddy and he means so much to me. I found this on etsy.com!
The next gift is from me to my mom. Its a necklace with the infinity symbol and our birthstones hanging from it, our birthstones are May and September which is also the month that Aaron proposed to me and the month we are getting married. My mom is my best friend, growing up I didn't know that but I sure do now! I found this on etsy.com.
This gift is for my mother in law to be. It is a necklace with a little pearl charm, that says "Thank you for raising the man of my dreams." I saw this and thought it was perfect because it is so true.  My mother in law to be was a single parent so she did raise the man I fell in love with. I found this on etsy.com.
This next one is actually the groomsmens gift. We decided that we would get our selves each what we were getting our bridal party, so we could match them too haha. This is a good stainless steel mug with their name each engraved on them beautifully, and not too bold because guys don't like that (that's what my fiance said haha). We got these from thingsremembered.com.

The next gift is the bridesmaids gift. This one is mine to match, just like Aaron got his mug above. They each have the first initial of each of my bridesmaids.  we got these from theknot.com.
The picture next to it is how we packaged each gift, this is a bridesmaids gift, the groomsmen have red bags. Each has their initials stenciled on the orange tag and everything is tied up with twine to kind of tie into our country theme.
This necklace was actually given to me by my mother in law to be, she has had this pendent for a long time and decided since it has an emerald (which is my birth stone) and that it is a celtic cross (which I am Scottish) that she would buy a new chain, have it shined up and engraved on the back and give it to me.  The engraving is K.A.T. 9.7.13, which is my new initials and our wedding date. I have worn it a lot since she gave it to me, I love it and it means a lot to me.
Well that is all I have for you in this post of wedding goodness, stay tuned for the rest of the wedding blogs, because the big day is coming up fast. Loves.

Wedding Blog #21 - A Gift for my Husband to be

Hello my wonderful readers.  Well we are almost to the big day so I thought I would share with you what I got Aaron for a wedding gift from me. It took me a long time to think about what I would get Aaron because I didn't want to get him something like jewelry, because he doesn't wear any, I wanted to get him something he would use on a daily basis or something he would use often.  So I got him a very nice leather wallet and in the inside it has a plate that is engraved with the words "God Gave Me You" which is our first dance song.  It also says "I Love You Aaron, 9.7.13." I am very excited to give this to him and I think he will enjoy it and love it just as much as I do.  I do fear that he will not use it too because it is so nice and he won't want to mess it up haha. Loves until next time, when I will be a Mrs. <3

My Blog is 2 years Old!!!!! 9.17.2013

Hello good lookin readers of mine.  I was just looking at my blog and realizing it is two years old today, September 17. I can't believe it has been that long since I got the idea to start a blog. It has evolved so much from just a place to vent how I am feeling about things to reviewing products, sharing the planning of the wedding, and so much more.  I love how my blog has evolved and I'm sure it will continue to evolve and I am so excited to share my future ideas with you. I'm sure just like the wedding there will be baby posts in the future too :-) My posts will depend on what is going on in my life and what season I am in my life I'm sure, and I'm so glad you are going to continue to come along for the ride. Just two years ago I was alone and just didn't know where I was going in life with just life, love and my future in general, now I know I love to come up with things to write about on here and I am married now and planning a future family. I have defiantly been blessed by God in so many different ways in two years. I just started my Wednesday recipes, which I am so excited about because cooking is one of my passions, and I am thinking of some other series' to start on here ( if you have anything you want to see let me know). I think that this blog is more of a lifestyle blog, but that might change too, who knows. :-) Like I said above I will be sharing my baby journey with you when we get to that point in our marriage, so that is something to look forward too on here. :-) I will continue my Review It series as well because I love reading other peoples. We will just have to see together where it goes from here, but Happy Birthday to my baby blog and thank you for reading!!! Loves!!

Wednesday Recipe - Teriyaki Chicken

Hello my amazing hungry readers!! My recipe for today is teriyaki chicken. This is one of Aaron's favorites and it is so easy to make. It takes a crockpot to cook it in, 1lb chicken, 1c chicken broth, 1/2c teriyaki or soy sauce, 1/3c brown sugar, 3minced garlic cloves. You can always change things to your taste, I always use soy sauce and I use crushed garlic from a jar instead of crushing up garlic cloves because it is just faster and easier. I did get this receipe from Pinterest, which is one of my addictions :-) After I mix all the ingrediants together I pour a little in the bottom of the crockpot, just enough to cover the bottom so the chicken doesn't stick while cooking. Then I put the chicken in and then pour all the rest of the yummyness over the chicken making sure it's coated. I cook it in the crockpot on High for 3-4 hours, really until the chicken is done all the way through.  I then just make some minute white rice to put the chicken on and some juice from the crockpot when it's done.

This is the what the mixture looks like after its all whisked together and all the ingredients are in.
Here it all is in the crockpot starting to make deliciousness.
I didn't get to take a picture of the final product this time because Aaron got to it before I got to the camera haha, but believe me it is pretty and delicious.  Loves until next time.

Wedding Blog #19 - Bachelorette Party!!! Woot Woot!!!

Hello my wonderful readers!!! Sorry I haven't posted in almost a week but it has been so busy. We had company and then Saturday was our bachelor/bachelorette parties!! So I am not going to show some of photos from the night because of peoples privacy and whatnot :-) but here are some shots of the fun.  My bridesmaids came over and we hung out and ate, went swimming then went to dinner and went dancing.  Aaron went to his cousin's, who is also his best man with my brother and stayed there and they did dinner and dancing also. :-)

This is my cousin Ashlee, aka my maid of honor, the day before making lemonade jello shots in actual lemons, and the results are below, they turned out to be really good.

Ashlee also made little gift bags for each bridesmaid and me.
After the pool we rinsed off and did the pedicure thing :-) Charlie stayed with us :-)

This is us before going to dinner, I wore my nude heels, blue dress, gold jewelry and makeup and hair down with bangs pinned back.
These are my bridesmaids, Mallory and Marcia.
Here is my bridesmaid Tricia and Ashlee again.
Me and Ashlee being silly and then the three girls in the backseat :-)

They had me wear my Bride to Be crown and Future Mrs. Thorsen sash with my light up big diamond ring all night :-)
Me and Tricia at the lounge after dinner. We all had one of these, its called a rainbow shot i think haha.

This is actually after the lounge in front of am/pm for a quick stop :-)

All of us right before we left the lounge and went home and chilled the rest of the night.
This is all the goodies they got me, not including the ones for only Aaron to see on our honeymoon ;-)

Aaron went with his best man/cousin, Johnathon and my brother/groomsman Ian to dinner and then to a country club.

This is my brother Ian and Aaron.
This is all three of them, these are really the only pictures I got to see from his night haha.
Well I hope you enjoyed this post, I don't know how many more I will be able to get up before the wedding since it is in 11 days!!!! But I am going to work on getting a few up. Loves until next time.
