Review It #12 -- Brush Shampoo

Hello my fabulous readers.  Now that I have reviewed all the makeup, I thought I would review something a little different today. It will be a short one because it is only one product. :-)
bareMinerals well-cared for brush conditioning shampoo is next to amazing.  After I use this my brushes all feel so clean and soft. A little goes a long long way so you for sure get your moneys worth on this. You barely put any on your brush and get very little water on it and lather the brush up and watch all the excess makeup come off and once your brush air drys it feels like you just bought it soft. I would recommend this to anyone and I will be repurchasing this when I run out.
See you in the next Review It. Loves.

Review It #11 -- Mascara

Hello my wonderful readers. Today's Review It is on mascaras :) I actually have four mascaras open right now, which I think is a lot because of how fast they dry out sometimes, but o well I like to switch it up some days.
Maybelline Mascaras: Great Lash Clear Transparent, The Rocket Volume Express in Very Black, The Falsies Volume Express Waterproof Flared in Very Black and The Turbo Volume Express Waterproof in Very Black
The first review will be on the Great Lash Clear Transparent Mascara. I only use this for my brows to keep them in place so they don't go all crazy during the day.  It goes on smooth and doesn't take off the color at all either. I will recommend this and repurchase it when I run out.
The second one is the Rocket.  This has been all over YouTube so I thought I would try it out and I like it for the most part.  It got a bit clumpy on me, which I didn't like but for the most part it is pretty good and makes my lashes look great.
The third on is the Falsies Flared. I liked this one a lot, until a month after I got it, it just got really dry all the sudden.  Before that though it was great and made my lashes look amazing and went on smooth with no clumps.  I would repurchase it this but maybe just use it up faster that way it doesn't dry out.
The last one is the Turbo Volume Express mascara.  I actually did not pick this one out, I was complaining about not having any mascara one day and my fiance, Aaron, brought me some home the next day on his way to work.  I love this mascara! It has no clumps, my lashes look unbelievable, and it goes on so well and smooth. I have had it awhile and it doesn't even look anywhere close to drying out. I will recommend this to anyone and I will be repurchasing this.

Review It #10 -- Naked Palettes

Hello my lovely readers! I hope life is treating everyone well today :-) Today's Review It is on my Naked palettes I have. Before these palettes I never really had a good palette, so when I did get these I was so very excited to use them, I sat down and played makeup lol for hours. The Naked basics I bought myself awhile back when I started to really get into makeup and doing different looks and stuff.  The Naked palette I bought myself for my birthday, as you would have seen in my Birthday post on here.
Urban Decay Naked Palette is probably the most amazing product I have every used.  I love all the colors.  The colors in here are so very pigmented, which I love.  Also they come off onto the brush and go onto the skin so smooth and there is no tugging or anything uncomfortable. I like that the colors are not chalky, that they are almost a creamy feeling.  I would recommend this to anyone and if I ever do run out of all the colors will repurchase this!
Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette is great for neutral looks, like the one I will be doing for my wedding.  It is also great for blending other colors together a bit. Like the Naked palette the colors are highly pigmented and feel almost creamy to the touch. They go on so smooth.  I love that all but the first color are matte finish, cause sometimes you just need a little matte. I would recommend this to anyone anywhere and purchase again.
See you in the next Review It. Loves!

Review It #9 -- Lips

Hello my amazing readers! Welcome to the lips version of Review It. I love my lips and having something on them at all times, even if it is only chapstick or something.
e.l.f. Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Baby Lips and Pink Lemonade and Hypershine Gloss in Flirt
All three of these are great by themselves or over some lipstick to give it a little shine. The color payoff is good but they are a pinch too sticky. I would repurchase these or get some of the other colors they have.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in 085 Sugar Plum is the first lipstick. It goes on so smooth and the color is great for me. I will be getting other lip butters. I would also recommend these to anyone with maybe a little gloss over the top.
Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick from in Sephora in Underage Red is the fist lipstick. It goes on so smooth and the color is WOW! Plus I love the packaging. I love all the Kat Von D makeup I have tried and have yet to be disappointed by her makeup. I would recommend this to anyone and I will repurchase this over and over again.
e.l.f. Lipstick in Gypsy, I love this color. It goes on smooth and color is great. Another e.l.f. product I would recommend and repurchase.
Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose Kiss, this is my new guilty pleasure. I put this on throughout the day at work and before I go to bed. Besides it smelling amazing, it is very moisturizing. I love the packaging as well. I will recommend this and repurchase it over and over again.
Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in: (left to right) 70 Coral Crush, 30 Peach Kiss, 25 Pink Punch, and 15 Cherry Me
I love the smell of all of these and the slight color of these. I would recommend these to anyone and I will repurchase these and the others in collection as well. These are my go to lip balms when I don't have time to put on lipstick. They are moisturizing and fun.
See you in the next Review It. Loves!

Review It #7 -- Eye Liner (Stick & Liquid)

Hello my beautiful readers. I hope you are enjoying my Review It series, I know I am having fun doing it. Today's Review It is going to be on eye liner, stick and liquid. With the stick I only have the retractable pencils because I don't like to sharpen, guess I'm lazy haha.
Ulta Automatic Eye Liner Long Lasting Waterproof in: (top to bottom) Raisin, Indigo, Bronze, Black/Brown,  Teal Blue, Olive, Chocolate
As you can tell I love the Ulta Automatic Eye Liner since I have it in every color I have seen in my Ulta. They all have wonderful pigment and go on so very smooth. I can put them on over every eyeshadow and it still goes on great. I love that there are so many colors that you can choose from. My favorite of all the colors is the Teal Blue and Bronze, I use both of those the most. I would recommend these to anyone on a budget like me because they go on great and have so many colors.
e.l.f. Liquid Eyeliner in Black is my favorite go to eye liner. I bought this for $3! It goes on so smooth and easy and has an amazing color. I originally bought this because I was looking for a liquid liner so I could have a slimmer line on the eye for my wedding. It is much thinner line and I will be using this on my wedding day and will be recommending this and repurchasing this when it runs out.
Maybelline Master Precise Liner in Black is the other liquid liner I bought to try out for my wedding day. It goes on easy and has good color. It did however dry out a little after I started using it, which I didn't like for a liquid liner. But I might repurchase this sometime down the road just because it was really in a nice package.
CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus Eye Pencil in 205 Charcoal and 210 Espresso, these two are the two I didn't like. They didn't go on well at all, I had to tug at the eye lid to get it on. I was really disappointed because most CoverGirl products I have used are great. I bought another one because I thought maybe the one I got was bad but no they are both bad. I would not recommend or repurchase these at all.
Hope your day is wonderful and thank you for reading, check back for some more Review It. Loves.

Review It #6 -- Eyeshadows (Creams & Quads)

Hello wonderful readers of mine! Hope your day is starting out and going amazingly. Today I am continuing my Review It series with eyeshadows. I love eyeshadows so much, they are so much fun! I love all the colors and textures. So I am going to show you and review all the eyeshadows I have.
Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow: (top three) 35 Tough as Taupe, 30 Pomegranate Punk, 25 Bad to the Bronze
Metal Line: (bottom two) 55 Inked in Pink and 70 Barely Branded
Limited Edition: (far right two) 45 Lavish Lavender and 25 Shady Shores

Above are all the color tattoos I have, I love all of them.  I love the texture of all of them so much.  They go on so smooth and can be used as the shadow or the base for other shadows, which is very nice and I feel like I get my moneys worth that way. The one that I think makes the best base for other eyeshadows is 70 Barely Branded because it is a great champagne color and is shimmery but not too much. They last without creasing all day.  The pigments are awesome and so vibrant. I would recommend these to anyone and I will be purchasing more colors and any of these when I run out of them.
CoverGirl Eye Enhancers Shadows in 270 Crystal Waters is the first quad. I bought this quad because I wanted some minty green eyeshadow and this one the only one I could find the day I was looking. I found out that all the colors are good and have great pigments that won't crease. I usually wear the Barely Branded color tattoo (from above) with the green or the light blue over it and it makes the colors so much more vibrant. I am going to get some more of these quads in the other colors because I love this one so much.
Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow in 384B On Cloud Nine is the one that I am not crazy about. It is pretty chalky and the pigments are not that great. I would not repurchase this or the others in the collection.
Victoria's Secret Seductive Eyes Mosaic Eye Shadow in Mosaic Petal is the one I have had the longest of all of these. As you can see I have used the red a lot that I have even hit pan. The pigments are great on this and you do have to work a little to get the color onto a brush but in the end it is great. I am actually not sure if Victoria's Secret has these anymore but if they do I would repurchase this or any other eyeshadow they have.
e.l.f. eyeshadow quads : (top to bottom, left to right) Pink Ice, Wisteria, Dusk, Sage, Mocha, Truly Pink, not sure, Periwinkle
These e.l.f. eyeshadows are awesome and so cheap, like most e.lf. products. I would recommend these to anyone because they last a long time and the pigment is great. Plus with these you get to make your own quad from all the colors they offer, I wanted so many of the colors that I had to make two quads.  I have refilled one of the colors already, Pink Ice (upper far left), I would wear that when I didn't know what to do with my makeup that day or if I was in a hurry because it is shimmery neutral color. I would recommend everyone have at least one quad from e.l.f. and I will repurchase these as they run out or get more colors.
I will talk to you later in my next Review It. Loves!

Review It #5 -- Liquid Foundation and Pressed Powder

Hello my wonderful readers.  Today I am continuing my Review It series with a review of liquid foundations and pressed powders.  Before I get into the ones pictured, there is one that I don't have a picture of because I used it and it was so bad I just threw it away. That liquid foundation was by e.l.f.. The only e.l.f. product that has ever let me down. :( It made me break out very, very bad and I was even in a little pain from it.  I got rid of it right away.
CoverGirl Clean Oil Control Foundation in 510 Classic Ivory is the foundation that I have used forever.  Since I was in high school and started wearing foundation I have used this.  It blends so well to my skin and looks so natural and goes on so smooth. I would recommend this foundation to anyone.  I have kind of oily skin so the oil control is great for the whole day no matter what you are up to.
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 110 Porcelain with SPF 18 is the only other foundation I have tried and I also love it.  It is very light on the skin and almost feels like you are wearing no liquid foundation on your face.  It has a slight smell but it isn't unpleasant.  It also blends really well.  I would also recommend this to anyone.
Physicians Formula Multi-Colored Pressed Powder in Creamy Natural is the first pressed powder i have to review.  This goes on so well and blends so very good.  It is a little on the pricey side is the only bad thing about this product and I did (as you can see) hit pan on this already and haven't had it that long and use it everyday.  I would repurchase this if I had the money.
CoverGirl Clean Oil Control Pressed Powder in 525 Buff Beige is the last item, it looks darker here in the picture haha no way I am that dark. This is the pressed powder I have used since high school and it is amazing.  I love this product since it has oil control, it works so well with my skin and blends great. It is also very good with touch ups, it doesn't look like you just caked it on. I would recommend this product to anyone.
See you in the next Review It. Loves!

Review It #4 -- Concealer and Primer

Hello my lovely readers! Hope all of your days are going fantastic. On a quick side note I have to show you the sunset on my way to work this morning in the East Bay :-)
So I am going to continue my Review It series. I decided to go with concealers and primers today in my review.  I have tried all of these in my everyday life, going out and a very long day at work and I will let you know about how each product held up in these circumstances.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer in fair is the first product.  I have really bad dark circles so when I first saw this product I had to try it. The very first time I used it I liked it instantly.  It just made my eyes so much brighter and it lasts all day long no matter what you are doing.  Its a repurchase for sure.
CoverGirl Concealer number 725 Illuminator is the next item.  I have had this concealer for what feels like forever, it never runs out.  I use this concealer as my spot concealer.  It is smooth and creamy and goes on perfect with the right amount of coverage. It blends really well.  It also lasts all day long no matter what your doing. If it ever runs out I will repurchase this.
e.l.f. Eye Primer & Liner Sealer is the first primer.  I love e.l.f. products, and this primer was no different.  It is in the lightest color they have in the primer, don't know the exact color name or number though.  I put the primer on my eyelids before anything else and my eyeshadow doesn't crease or smudge all day, its amazing.  It also goes on so smooth and easy.  The liner sealer I have only used once and it worked really good, I honestly just forget I have it.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is the other primer I have.  This sample came with my Naked palette.  It is greasy and doesn't go on very easy.  It is so greasy it makes my shadow crease and move.  I would never purchase this by itself, which is sad because I loved the packaging and got so excited when it was in there with my palette.

Thank you for reading today's review it and check back often because I am going to be continuing my Review It series often.  Loves!

Review It #3 -- Shampoo and Conditioners

Hello my wonderful readers!! I just want to wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day and make sure everyone goes out and thanks a veteran of our wonderful Armed Services this weekend for there present or past service to keeping our country free! We are having ourselves and couple BBQs this weekend with my family! What are you and your family doing to celebrate this weekend?
I am going to continue my Review It series with a review of a couple shampoos and conditioners. The first one is one I have used for a long time. I used to use the Head and Shoulders for Smooth Hair shampoo and then use the Itchy Scalp Care conditioner and my hair was amazing. But they don't make itchy scalp care conditioner anymore by itself, so I had to get the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, which I don't think has as good of an effect on my hair, but still feels good. It does such good nourishment to my scalp and I love the way the eucalyptus feels on my scalp. It's really reasonably priced as well.
The second item is a separate shampoo and conditioner. It is Clear Scalp and Hair Beauty Therapy. I have volumizing root boost shampoo and frizz control conditioner. I have to say the first time I used it, I could already tell an amazing amount of difference on how clean my hair was and how soft it was. I would recommend these to anyone and everyone. I am going to use these and only these from now on after I use up all my others. They were also very reasonably priced.
Well enjoy your weekend and stay tuned for more Review It blogs :-) Loves!

Review It #2 -- Face Washes

Hello my lovely readers! So I am continuing the Review It series that I started. Today I am going to let you know my thoughts on the face washes I have used. The first product I have used forever is Clean and Clear Morning Burst facial cleanser. I love the burst of energy it gives your face, it just cleanses your face so good and leaves it so fresh feeling. The little beads just burst on your face giving you that morning wake up call you need. I also just love that its a citrusy scent it's one of my favorite scents. The packaging is great too with the pump, because one pump is just perfect for my face with none wasted.
The second item is a scrub. I have used this only a couple times and already love it! It is the Up and Up brand from Target but it is the same thing as St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub. My face just felt so good after using this, like there wasn't a smige of dirt or oil on it. It is a kind of rough feeling scrub so if you can't handle that I don't recommend this but I love to scrub and get things extra clean. It has the bead like scrubbers in it and they are amazing.
Both of these items are very affordable and can be found at any Target. Well I will see you in my next Review It. Loves!

Review It #1- e.o.s.

Hello my fabulous readers! Hope your days are wonderful lately. I am going to start a new series of makeup and other product reviews today to go along with the regular wedding posts and lifestyle posts.  Today for my first review I am going to give a short review on e.o.s. lip balms.  I have two flavors of these the Pomegranate Raspberry (below left) and Sweet Mint (below center).  I am in love with both but the sweet mint is my favorite of the two.  I found the pomegranate one to be a bit silicony. It feels like you are rubbing silicon on your lips its a weird feeling and the flavor is nonexistent   The sweet mint one was way different. It went on so smooth and the flavor is there big time and makes your lips tingle a little, I love that!  The packaging is my favorite packaging ever and makes me want to use it more and more, which is good for my lips so they are moisturized at all times. I know there are other flavors out there and I can't wait to try them all.

Thanks for reading, Love you!

Birthday Recap!!

Hello readers of mine! I just wanted to post some pictures from last night's little celebration. It was a good one, I actually didn't take as many pictures as I wanted :-( We started out by meeting my parents, brother, sister in law and my adorable niece for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Side note: isn't the sky a beautiful blue in this picture!
It was delicious!! I have left overs for lunch today too!!! After some wonderful conversation we all left and my parents and all of them went back home, but not until we took a couple pictures.  Uncle Aaron and Sophia had to take one together, my two favorite people! This is a good one I'm thinking of getting it framed!
Then yesterday was my 24th birthday but Sophia also had her half birthday or turned 6 months old lol. So we had to take a picture together as the birthday girls! I want to frame this good one too :-)
So after all that fun, Aaron and I decided we didn't want to go home just yet so we went to a couple bars and they were so crowded we just walked right back out. We ended up at Vic Steward's down the street from our house and I had a fancy drink called the Island Roundup
and kissed my fiance at the bar and wished myself a happy birthday! I just want to say thank you to my readers for reading and to my family for a wonderful birthday! It's going to be an exciting next year!!!

Birthday Time!

Hello my readers out there, whoever you are I appreciate every time you take the time to read about my life :-) A quick little side note two days ago 1 year ago I heard the words "Marry Me?!" from the man I love, Aaron, and I said "Yes, of course!" I can't wait to be the new Mrs. Thorsen! It's been a good week!
So yesterday was my 24th birthday, I don't feel different but I do feel a little different as I am passing the age that my parents were when they are married.  Anyways I did receive some presents for my birthday already and I thought I would share with you! I actually received two gift cards to Target from my mom and aunt, they know exactly what to get me :-) So I got lots of stuff I'm so excited to wear, use and watch. I got a jean skirt (that I am so excited about wearing), some undies, socks, vitamins, shampoo, the movie Bridesmaids and Breaking Dawn Part 2 (which were both on sale!), American flag shoes. I also got some makeup that I'm excited to try out:  Maybelline mascara The Rocket, EOS lip balm in sweet mint, and e.l.f. blush and bronzer contouring kit ( I will put up a review later for all).   After all that stuff I still have some left on my gift card :-).

I also got a little money from my grandma so I went to Old Navy and got this American flag scarf and this born free shirt. I love the scarf and it goes with the shoes I got at Target and I also love being very patriotic! I got the shirt because it reminds me of the Mustang logo and my fiance, Aaron, actually drives one about this color so I thought it would be neat.
For my birthday I also received a $10 off coupon for the store Ulta. I have been saving up my Ulta rewards points so i could get what I really wanted for my birthday: the Naked palette by Urban Decay!!! I am so very excited to use all the shades in here.  With my coupon and points I saved up I got this for more than 50% off the price!
The one color that excites me the most is the Toasted color! It looks like a rose gold beautiful color, I'm just so excited to put it on my eyelids! I will be reviewing this also later along with the eyeshadow potion primer.
You can see I got really excited with the swatching of all the colors in the palettes :-)
I have never had a man have flowers delivered to me but my fiancé changed that today and send me these beautiful, wonderful smelling roses!

My mother in law to be got me a gift card, a beautiful mint green dress that I am so excited to wear, a beautiful bracelet and some beautiful earrings. I am very thankful for these beautiful things!
Also got this cute little pink sock money key chain and my free birthday Starbucks drink :-)
Glad the sock monkey could make you smile :-)
I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Mother's Day 2013

Hello my wonderful readers! I want to wish a late Mother's Day to all the mothers out there.  I just wanted to show you a few pictures from our mothers day, we had a little BBQ at my parents house in Ceres. I was pretty much the only women that was not a mother in attendance, so I did have a hard time dealing with that because I want to have a baby really bad but we are waiting until we are married for sure!
So in these two pictures we have my sister in law Cindy, my mom Judy (holding my niece Sophia), my grandmas Betty (in the chair) and Rosemary. All of them wore the same color without even talking to each other about it lol.

This is me and my niece Sophia, she is going to be 6 months tomorrow (on my birthday) :-)!

Happy Mother's Day again to my wonderful mom and all the other mothers out there, maybe next year I can join the club :-)
